I am very excited to be returning for the tenth summer as your diving coach at Brookside Swim Club. For those of you who don't know me, here is some of my background and experience. I started swimming and diving competitively at the Wenonah Swim Club and later at Gateway Regional High School. I then graduated from West Chester University where I was a four time Honorable Mention All-American diver. During my twenty years of coaching experience, I have coached many summer teams such as Wenonah, Barclay Farm, and, Woodcrest. I have led Wenonah and Brookside each to a South Jersey Diving Championship. I was also the head diving coach at Rowan University for three years as well as starting and running an age group diving program there. In addition, I coached the divers at Pitman High School for three years. I have been coaching Rowan University the last five years as the head diving coach and have had nine Honorable Mentions as All-American divers as well as nine All-American divers during these years. I was also a three time Metropolitan Conference Coach of the Year during the last five years at Rowan University, but I have recently stepped down as their diving coach to spend more time with my family.
The main goal this summer is to encourage more members to come out for the diving team. In order to build on our success from the previous eight summers, we need our program to continue to grow for the future. Everyone is invited to come out for the team regardless of your age or experience level. I always look forward to the challenge of working with beginning level divers. The only things required are an interest in diving and a desire to learn. So come out for the team and give it a try, you might surprise yourself. You will never know what you are capable of unless you try.
